It's easy to do with the UCA 586B. Just two controls get you started: sensitivity and alarm set point.
4-20 mA, 0-10 V DC and heterodyned outputs provide flexibility in the way you want to report and record your results. With the unique heterodyned output, received ultrasonic signals can be heard through headphones or recorded on a tape recorder or directly into a PC.

The Ultrasonic Valve Guard
Adjust for either flow reduction or onset of flow. Either way, the valve alarm condition will be instantly forwarded via a 4-20 mA or 0-10 V DC output. Valve Guard's unique heterodyne output provides sound recording capability. Technicians situated as far away as one mile, can occasionally listen to the valve condition via remotely placed headphones.
